Fireside Chat: Deepinder Sethi, CIO of Fluke Health Solutions

Moderator: Welcome to today’s Fireside Chat! We’re incredibly excited to have Deepinder Sethi, the CIO of Fluke Health Solutions, with us today. Deepinder, thank you for joining us.

Deepinder Sethi: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be here.

Moderator: Let’s dive right in. Fluke Health Solutions has been at the forefront of healthcare technology. Looking back at your journey, what has been the most unexpected challenge you’ve faced in scaling the company to what it is today?

Deepinder Sethi: One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the rapid advancements in healthcare technology while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards. We started with a focus on providing reliable health solutions, and as technology evolved, we had to continuously adapt to meet the diverse needs of healthcare providers and patients. Building a platform that is both innovative and compliant required a lot of patience and learning.

Moderator: It must have been quite a learning curve! Speaking of scaling, Fluke Health Solutions has seen significant growth. How did you feel when you saw the impact of your solutions on the healthcare industry?

Deepinder Sethi: Honestly, it was a mix of emotions—pride, excitement, and also a bit of nervousness. We had worked tirelessly to get to this point, and seeing the positive impact on healthcare providers and patients was a reflection of all the hard work that the team and I had put in. But, as with any impactful company, the responsibility increases. You are now accountable not just to your employees and partners but to the entire healthcare ecosystem. It was humbling and inspiring at the same time.

Moderator: You mentioned responsibility, and that brings me to a question about sustainability. Fluke Health Solutions has made some bold moves in terms of sustainability initiatives, like focusing on eco-friendly practices. How do you balance the business side of things with the need to drive positive environmental change?

Deepinder Sethi: It’s a fine balance. As a company, we’ve always prioritized long-term impact over short-term gains. Yes, eco-friendly practices sometimes come with a higher cost, but we believe it’s the right thing to do for the planet and for future generations. For us, it’s about taking small, actionable steps every day. And what we’ve learned is that when we make sustainability a core part of our business, we don’t just build a better company; we build a better world.

Moderator: Absolutely! Now, with the evolving tech landscape, how do you see the role of AI and automation in the future of healthcare technology? Is it something that excites you?

Deepinder Sethi: Oh, absolutely. Artificial intelligence and automation are game-changers, and they’re already playing a huge role in improving the efficiency of healthcare processes. From predictive analytics to personalized patient care, we’re only scratching the surface. In the future, we’ll see more AI-powered tools that help predict patient needs before they even arise, and automation will be a key player in making that process faster and more accurate. The tech is exciting, but it’s also challenging, and we’re always working to make sure it enhances the human experience, rather than replacing it.

Moderator: That’s really interesting. Now, before we wrap up, Fluke Health Solutions is known for its strong culture. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other founders or CEOs when it comes to building a strong, healthy organizational culture?

Deepinder Sethi: My advice would be to always put your people first. As a leader, you can have all the best strategies and innovations, but at the end of the day, your team is what makes it all happen. When you focus on creating a positive, inclusive, and empowering culture, it reflects in the work and drives results. Build a culture where people feel trusted, respected, and inspired to give their best. If you do that, the rest falls into place.

Moderator: Such great insight! Thank you so much, Deepinder, for sharing your journey and thoughts with us today. It’s been an incredible conversation.

Deepinder Sethi: Thank you! It was a pleasure being here and sharing my story.
